I think it’s very important that individuals apart of the LGBTQ+ Community seek therapy. I say that because you might be struggling with something and don’t even know it. Well, what could you possibly be struggling with?

You could be struggling with discrimination, depression, anxiety, grief, couples therapy, work stress, etc. well, according to it states “Research suggests that LGBTQ individuals seek mental health treatment at a higher rate than their non-LGBTQ counter parts. This may be due to the stigma and discrimination LGBTQ individuals often face on a regular basis, from society, family members, peers, co-workers, and even classmates.” Therapy is really good for your mental health. Some people struggle with Gender Dysphoria and sexual identity issues. I will be honest. I’m starting to struggle with sexual identity issues. I don’t know if I’m a stud, femme, stem, etc. I dress how I dress. I am who I am. But, as I keep mentioning in my posts. People keep mistaking me for a stud. Now, I’m starting to question my sexual identity because of what others are saying. Is that bad? I honestly think it’s a bad thing but, I could be wrong. It brings me down sometimes because I’m interested in studs. Some studs are not interested in me because of how I look. It’s very frustrating how they treat me. I know most people don’t know what their sexual identity is. That’s perfectly fine, you don’t always have to know.

Sometimes I get anxiety when I see a stud. I’m not sure if they’ll like me or not. That’s the hard part. I’m not sure if this is an issue where I have to go to therapy for. I keep thinking about it. So, maybe I should go to therapy for it. I’m also scared to talk about my sexual identity at work. I remember one of my coworkers asking if I had a boyfriend. I was scared to tell her that I am a lesbian and what I identify as. I don’t really get discrimination at work because everyone doesn’t need to know what I identify as. Discrimination in the work place is not fair. It creates drama and a lot of animosity.

I feel like they should have at least one therapist in the workplace. I say that because if their is issues within the workplace like discrimination. It can be at least one person to talk to about it. Yes, managers are their but, I don’t think they will fully understand. That’s just my opinion. Oh and another thing, I think it’s good to have couples therapy. Especially with the LGBTQ+ Community. Couples therapy is good because your partner might be struggling with those issues I listed in the beginning. They might need a third opinion to help them get through it. You might be doing everything in your power to help your partner. You might feel like what you are doing is not working. So you all decide to go to couples therapy. I advice everyone to try it at least once.

I’m thinking about trying it when I get in a relationship with my next girlfriend. I think it’s very useful and helpful. You can even go to therapy if you are single. You might be struggling with the dating scene within the LGBTQ+ Community. Please get that help. Sometimes it’s hard finding other singles in our community. I can vouch for that. I could actually go to therapy now while being single. I’m struggling with finding females.

You should go to therapy for everything especially if you are dealing with grief. Grief is a hard thing to deal with. It’s good to have someone to talk to. Please talk to someone about your issues. It helps a lot. You won’t regret it. I promise. Comment in the comment section below. See you there!! 👋👋

      1. I am asking just casually only. Not subject based. What I want to know is do therapists give meds to everyone? Or can there be cases where just talking help?
